Interviews with Psi Chi Officers about Post-Grad!
What are your post-grad plans? Ideally, where do you see yourself in 5 years from now?
"After I graduate UCLA this June, I'm going to enjoy my summer with my family! I'm starting a Master's in Counseling program at Boise State University in August. I'm super excited, and I can't wait to start learning about real clinical work. I'm also hoping to become a TA or RA in the fall, so I'll applying for that over the summer!
I'm very open to all of the twists and turns that God might have for me in the next five years from now, but currently, I see myself working somewhere like an eating disorder clinic. It will be two years since I graduated with my LPC license, and I hope to be working at clinic that I believe in & feeling connected with my coworkers and clients. I see myself in a cute little apartment with a cat, somewhere close to downtown Boise so I can bike alongside the river and try out new restaurants. I see myself being a lifelong learner, always growing and learning new therapeutic methods/working with new populations. No matter where I go, I'm so grateful for my time as a Bruin!" - Brooke , President "After graduating undergrad I plan on going to grad school in the area of psychology, with a focus on sex research. I want to stay in California for grad school, but more importantly I hope to find an amazing advisor. I want to become a professor and focus on how to improve sex education in schools!" - Abigail Monroe, Vice President of Administration "After graduating, I plan on working in management consulting. I am also thinking about getting a Masters in IO psych or an MBA!" - Dillon Chu, Facilities Director |
